Logan City Kings is a small local not-for-profit soccer club based south of Brisbane (in Logan).
The club, forming in the 80s by a number of senior players moving on from another local club, call Mappas Park home (part of the Meakin Park facility).
Run on a 100% volunteer basis, the club is supported by strong interpersonal relationships with many of its members. The committee, coaching staff, team managers and other volunteers give up their personal time to share their passion for soccer with the local community. This team of people can be readily found at the club during the season on a training night or during games.
In the 2018 year, the club was home to 11 teams: 3 miniroos; 3 youth and 5 adult teams.
The 3 miniroo teams grew throughout the year, not just in height but also, more importantly, in ability and attitude. We look forward to continuing to see these players grow and make new friends as more people, like you and your family, join the club.
The 3 youth teams had successful years with 2 teams winning their competition and grand finals while the 3rd team narrowly missed out on a finals berth after being moved up a division after the season started.
The senior teams had mixed results with 1 team making finals, and many many new faces, not just to the club, but also to the sport. Many of these players likely to return in 2019 and beyond.
